Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and EthAI Labs LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India (LLPIN ACY-8289), whose registered office address is given in Section 14 (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). “Ente Matrimony,” “Service,” “app,” and “platform” mean our mobile application, website, and related matchmaking services.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the “terms of use” and user agreement under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

You may use the Service only if you:

• Are 18 years of age or older and legally competent to enter into a contract under Indian law.
• Are legally free to marry: unmarried, divorced, widowed, or otherwise lawfully permitted to remarry.
• Are using the Service for genuine matrimonial purposes: for yourself, or for a close family member with their knowledge and consent.
• Provide true, accurate, and complete information.

We do not permit use of the Service for dating, casual relationships, or any purpose other than seeking a lawful marriage.

• You register using your mobile phone number and a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number and account secure.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use.
• One person, one profile. You may not create multiple or fake profiles, or impersonate anyone else.
• We may ask you to verify your profile (for example, with a selfie). Verification helps keep the community genuine but is not a guarantee about any member.

When you use Ente Matrimony, you agree that you will not:

• Provide false or misleading information, or misrepresent your marital status, age, identity, religion, community, or any other detail.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, defame, stalk, or harm any other person.
• Ask for or collect money, gifts, or financial help from other members, or use the Service for any fraudulent, commercial, or illegal purpose.
• Post content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, harmful to a child, infringes anyone's rights, or is otherwise unlawful.
• Upload photos or content that are not your own or that you do not have the right to share.
• Contact other members after they have declined, blocked, or reported you.
• Hack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its data.
• Use bots or automated tools to collect other members' information.
• Break any applicable Indian law while using the Service.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members and for the content you post.

• You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you upload (“Your Content”).
• By posting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your profile to potential matches). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in backups or as required by law.
• You confirm that Your Content is truthful, is yours to share, and does not break these Terms or anyone's rights.
• We may remove or restrict any content or account that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or the law, or that we receive a valid complaint about.

Ente Matrimony is free to join. We also offer paid premium plans (such as Gold, Platinum, and Diamond) that unlock extra features, for example, unlocking a limited number of members' phone numbers, sending unlimited messages, a premium badge and visibility boost, and advanced horoscope features.

• Plan names, prices, durations, and benefits are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may change from time to time. Any change will not affect a plan you have already bought.
• Payments for premium plans are made through the app store you downloaded the app from: Google Play (Google Play Billing) on Android and the Apple App Store (In-App Purchase) on iOS. These purchases are handled by Google or Apple under their own terms, and we do not receive or store your full card or bank details. We may add other payment methods, such as Razorpay, in the future.
• Premium features are digital benefits made available immediately once your plan is active.
• Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• A premium plan gives you access to features. It does not guarantee any match, response, contact, or marriage.

Please read this section carefully.

• Ente Matrimony is a technology platform (an “intermediary”) that helps people find potential life partners. We provide the tools; we do not arrange marriages or introduce members personally.
• We do not guarantee that you will find a match, receive interest or replies, or get married. Outcomes depend entirely on members.
• Profiles are created by members, not by us. We take steps to reduce fake profiles, but we cannot verify the accuracy of every detail, photo, or claim. A “verified” badge means only that we did a basic check; it is not a guarantee about a person's character, background, intentions, or eligibility to marry.
• You are responsible for your own decisions. Before meeting anyone, exchanging money, or making any commitment, independently verify the other person's identity, background, marital status, and intentions. Please read our Safety Guidelines.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline, or for any loss, harm, or dispute arising from your interactions with them.

• The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, or that any defect will be corrected.
• Horoscope, porutham, and compatibility results are provided for information and personal interest only, are based on traditional methods and third-party calculations, and should not be treated as professional or guaranteed advice.
• Any reliance you place on the Service or its content is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Company, its partners, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
• We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any member, including fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, or any harm arising from meeting or dealing with another member.
• If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you actually paid us (if any) in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.

Some laws do not allow certain limitations; in that case, the limits apply only to the extent permitted.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its partners, employees, and service providers from any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms or any law; (c) Your Content; or (d) your dealings or disputes with any other member.

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law, provided false information, or created a risk to other members or to us.
• On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as the content licence for backups, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
• Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund; refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Before going to court, we encourage you to contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the matter amicably.

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT Rules, 2021, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you can contact our Grievance Officer for any complaint about content, conduct, or these Terms. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within the timelines required by law.
